Fergus O'Brien

Following a two year stint with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, Fergus is excited to be joining the Old Town Virginia-based team of McCormick and Lusk at Long and Foster/Christie’s, a top producer who has been recognized by their peers in the Washingtonian. Fergus who lives in the Mount Vernon Triangle section of DC will divide his time between all three local jurisdictions (DC, MD, VA). Having represented both sides in a variety of transactions he recognizes that the best deals are those that satisfy both the buyer and seller alike but that does not mean that he is not out to get the best deal for his client. After multiple years of running a business in New York City he knows how to go to bat.

Similarly, as both a prior business owner and a summa cum laude graduate with a BA in English, you can count on him to be your trusted communicator, advisor, and negotiator. Most recently he helped secure an all cash offer with a 25% escalation on a row house in Georgetown. Clients appreciate his ability to combine his life experience with a thorough understanding of the industry while keeping a level head when needed.

His preference for homes leans traditional/historic but as an admirer of eclecticism he recognizes the virtue of a clean modern/contemporary design. Fergus has a particular passion for interior design and architecture, citing Gaudi as perhaps the most revolutionary and significant practitioner of all. Other interests include off piste skiing, sports, travel, and the arts.
